PROFESSIONAL SERVICES:
Advice to land owners, developers and other organisations on site specific projects from initial appraisals, pre-application advice and representations, preparation and submission of planning applications, negotiations, including s106 Obligations, representation in discussions with planning officers, elected members, local interest groups and appearance at planning committee meetings.
Planning appeals are undertaken on behalf of clients at all levels. These can include written representations, informal hearings, public inquiries and appearance as expert witness in the High Court. As a Chartered Town Planner Jonathan Kamm has direct access to the planning bar and is experienced in briefing Counsel on planning matters as well as working with planning and other solicitors.
Representation of client's interests at all levels from initial discussion, liaison and submission through the plan-making process to attending hearings, Inquiries and Examinations in Public (EiP) in respect of planning policy matters.
Advice and assistance in responding to local authority enforcement action and appeals and negotiations related to alleged breaches of planning control and conditions.
Advice and representation on heritage matters including development and planning proposals affecting ancient monuments, historic buildings, conservation areas and other areas with statutory protection.
Land Compensation Act issues including CPOs and applications and appeals under s17 and s18 of the 1961 Act.
Advice is also offered to individuals and voluntary organisations who wish to engage with the planning system at all levels in responding to planning proposals both at policy level and formal applications.
